To activate Private Whois for a .pt domain through the DNS.PT platform, you should follow the steps below.
First, access the website https://www.dns.pt/pt/ using an internet browser. Then, in the top-right corner, select the “Área Reservada” option and log in with your credentials.
After logging in, click on the “Domínios” tab, where the list of domains associated with your account will be displayed. Select the desired domain by clicking on its name.
Within the “Domínios” section, locate the “Entidades” area and click on the pencil icon to edit. Next, select the “Whois Confidential” option and click on the disk icon to save the changes.
Please note that, since February 2, 2020, the identification data of legal entities responsible for .pt domain names is always disclosed in the Whois directory. For this reason, legal entities cannot activate the confidentiality mechanism, and this functionality is available only to natural persons.
