How to Obtain Access Data for DNS.pt
In case you have never accessed DNS.pt (DNS.pt is the regulatory entity for .PT domains):
To check the email associated with the registrant entity of the domain, go to https://www.dns.pt/pt/ferramentas/whois/ and enter your domain name in the search box:
Click on WHOIS and check the information presented for the registrant entity, including the contact email associated. If you have access to the listed email, proceed to step 2.
If you do not have access to the email associated with the registrant entity, you should contact DNS.pt via the “linha azul” (support line) to request a change of your email or contact us so that we can check and advise the best way to perform this operation.
1.1 How to Recover Access Data for DNS.pt
To recover your password for accessing DNS.pt and managing your domain, go to https://registo.dns.pt/web/guest/forgetpass and enter your username/Nic-Handle or the VAT number associated with the domain, then click “Recuperar Password” (Recover Password).
When using the Password Recovery option on the DNS.pt portal, if you know your username/Nic-Handle, select “Recover Password via Username or Nic-Handle,” enter your username, and click Recover Password.
After recovering your access data, you will receive an email at the address associated with the domain containing a link to change your password.

Issuance of Domain Transfer Code in DNS.pt
If you wish, you can send your DNS.pt access data to our support team so that we can complete the process of issuing the transfer code for your .PT domain.

Log in at https://registo.dns.pt/ using your Nic-Handle and password, then click “Iniciar Sessão” (Log In).
Go to “Os Meus Dominios” (My Domains) and click on the process number associated with the domain you wish to transfer.
In the “Entidades Relacionadas” (Related Entities) field, hover over the “Acções” (Actions) button and select “Transferir Gestão Dominio” (Transfer Domain Management).
A confirmation box will appear so you can confirm the action of issuing a transfer code for your domain.
After confirming, a green message will appear at the top of the page indicating the code for changing the Managing Entity of your domain, which you should enter in the domain transfer request field or provide to us so we can proceed with your transfer.
Simultaneously, you will receive the same transfer code by email.
After this operation and after submitting the transfer code to us, our company will assume management of your domain, benefiting from our specialized conditions for .PT domains, without you having to worry about the technical management of your domain.
We emphasize, however, that although the Management and Technical Responsibility of your domain is under EMERALD VISION LDA, the domain remains your property, as you will see in the Registrant Entity field.
