cPanel allows you to host domains with content independent from the main domain of your hosting account through the “Domains” feature, enabling the creation and management of Addon Domains.
How to Add an Addon Domain in cPanel
To add a new domain with its own content, follow the steps below.
Access cPanel and enter your login credentials.
In the DOMAINS section, click on “Domains”.
Then click on “Create a New Domain”.
In the first field, enter the domain name you want to add as an Addon Domain.
Make sure to uncheck the option “Share Document Root” so that the domain is treated as an independent domain with its own directory.
To finish, click “Submit”. This operation may take a few minutes to complete.
At the end of the process, a confirmation message will be displayed indicating that the domain has been successfully added.
How to Remove an Addon Domain in cPanel
If you wish to remove an Addon Domain, proceed as follows.
Access cPanel and enter your login credentials.
In the DOMAINS section, click on “Domains”.
Locate the domain you want to remove and click on “Manage”.
Then click on “Remove Domain”.
Confirm the action by clicking on “Yes, Remove This Domain”.
At the end, you will receive a message indicating that the addon domain has been successfully removed.
